Listening to music while riding a bike is now illegal!


Yes! You read it right! Its now officially a punishable offence to listen to music while riding a motorcycle. This in a country where wearing a helmet is still not a mandate. A country where the rear view mirrors are an accessory! This in a country obsessed with music. Make that loud Music . And yes this in a country which sells a HUGE number of jazzy sound equipment for in car entertainment.

As someone riding for a decent amount of miles, ofcourse with the earphones plugged safely.. I am disappointed with this draconian approach to safety!

If it weren’t for the earphones I would have probably got asleep while riding. Please ban the in car entertainment suites as well. They can disturb as much!

    hey man thats the worst news for bikers like us, one should go and ask this rule makers, have they seen how many people travel on 2 wheeler in pune without helmet and earphones stuck but there is no action being taken.

      So do you want action to be taken on those who are still using earphones? Or is it a problem with the stupid dead lock about helmets in Pune?
