D10FEB – Blessed.

Unheard blessings, unheard prayers,
In my effort of tuning out,
I missed hearing the words they said.

An unheard blessing, and maybe some praise,
Saw it come from a good place,
I missed hearing it, but I did feel it in my gaze.

An unspoken need, a fleeting touch,
Offered in silence, meant so too,
Reciprocated in grace, but I, missed its weight.

A steady hand, stretched my way,
But I was tuning out – to not stay astray.
I didn’t realise it, but its warmth remained.

Unfelt gestures, unnoticed grace,
All the care poured into empty space.
We move fast, pretend we don’t care,
But kindness lingers, everywhere.

Unheard blessings, unheard prayers,
In my effort of tuning out,
I missed hearing the words they said,
But kindness lingers, everywhere.
